Elephants in Tarangire • Great Migration in Serengeti • Big Five in Ngorongoro Crater. Private guide, premium camps, and expertly timed for the best wildlife action.
This 5‑day itinerary is the quintessential northern Tanzania luxury circuit. You’ll start in Tarangire National Park, famous for massive elephant herds and ancient baobabs, then move into the Serengeti for two dedicated migration days (including Central Serengeti’s big cats and Northern Serengeti’s Mara River crossings), and finish in the Ngorongoro Crater – a natural amphitheater teeming with wildlife, including the rare black rhino.
Style: Private luxury safari with premium tented camps/lodges, private vehicle, and expert guide.
Best season: June–October for river crossings; January–March for calving (we adjust Serengeti zone).
Limited offer: 20% promotion on select travel windows – ask when you request a quote.
Each park offers a different ecosystem. Tarangire is dry savannah with baobabs and high elephant density. The Serengeti is endless plains with the migration and apex predators. Ngorongoro Crater is a closed volcanic caldera with year‑round resident wildlife. Together, they provide the most complete luxury safari experience in Tanzania.
Your guide collects you from Arusha. Drive to Tarangire National Park (approx 2 hours). After check‑in at your luxury lodge, enjoy an afternoon game drive. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant families, ancient baobab trees, and strong lion and leopard populations. Overnight at a luxury camp in Tarangire.
Morning game drive in Tarangire, then transfer to Central Serengeti (via road or light aircraft). Arrive at your camp in time for an afternoon game drive. Central Serengeti (Seronera area) offers year‑round predator action – lions, leopards, cheetahs – and often early migration herds. Overnight in Central Serengeti.
After breakfast, drive north toward the Mara River (Kogatende). This is the prime river crossing zone from July to October. Spend the afternoon and the next morning searching for crossing attempts. If it’s calving season (Jan‑Mar), we adjust to southern/central Serengeti instead. Overnight in a luxury camp in Northern Serengeti.
Morning game drive in Northern Serengeti, then transfer to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Crater for a full afternoon game drive (or on Day 5, depending on timing). The Crater hosts the Big Five: black rhino, elephants, lions, buffalo, and occasional leopards. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo lake. Overnight at a luxury lodge on the crater rim.
Early morning descent into the Crater for another game drive (if not done the previous day). The early hours offer the best predator action. After breakfast/lunch, transfer back to Arusha for your onward flight or extension to Zanzibar. Optional: add a cultural visit to a Maasai village.
